Gaelic football betting
Gaelic football is a type of football often played in Ireland. Gaelic football aside from hurling, is the most famous local sports in Ireland. Gaelic football is played by teams composed of fifteen members on a rectangular grass courts with goals at every end. The basic goal of Gaelic football is to score by kicking or hitting the ball with the hands and pushing it until the ball reaches the goal. The team with the largest total score at the conclusion of the game is victorious. Players push the ball up the court with skills of carrying, kicking, and passing to their teammates.
Over and under bets
In Gaelic football betting many of these bets would be categorized as over-under (or, more typically today, total) bets instead of spread Gaelic football bets. However, these are for one team or another of a total only, and do not maximize the amount won or lost as the actual shies away from the bookmaker’s forecast. Rather, over-under or total Gaelic football bets are managed similar to point-spread bets on a Gaelic football team, with the traditional 10% commission implemented. Many Gaelic football bookmakers will enable these bets to be utilized in parlays, just like Gaelic football point-spread bets, making it probable to bet, for example, “the Gaelic football team and the over,” and be paid if both the Gaelic football team “cover” the point spread and the total score is larger than the bookmaker’s forecast. Such bets typically pay off at odds of 13:5 with no “vig,” just as a standard two- Gaelic football team parlay would.
Strategy for Gaelic football betting
For instance, in a Gaelic football game between two teams the bet for corners is 12-13, the index organization assumes there will be 12 or 13 corners as a whole during the game.
- A bettor informs the bookmaker with the assumption that there will be greater than 13 corners during the match, the bettor ‘buys’ at £25 a point at 13. If the grand total of corners is 16 the bettor has won, receiving 3 x £25. If the grand total of corners is 10, the bettor loses 3 x £25. A ’sell’ transaction is the same except done against the least value of the Gaelic football bets.
- Often there is actual pricing, which alters the bets during the course of a Gaelic football game enabling winnings to be optimized or a loss decreased. A Gaelic football bet is a bet that anything won’t take place, so if a person plays $50 on a Gaelic football team then he is betting that Gaelic football team won’t win.
- The exotic combinations which offer better odds usually offer higher risk as well, but mathematically there are some Gaelic football betting systems which are more than even money to win. However, they usually still win less than the house percentage.
